In our Brasserie Kontrast we are embracing and uniting the raw, quirky and more urban Vesterbro with the luxury and exclusivity that characterizes the inner city of Copenhagen. A cosmopolitan brasserie focused on the contrasting flavours of locally grown ingredients. With sustainably produced meat and fish as well as seasonal and organic ingredients all courses at Kontrast has their origin from local farmers. Kontrast goes for an attentive, relevant and embracing atmosphere.

RUG BAKERY

We are very excited and happy to announce that we opened the doors of RUG Bakery to Public guests

Having our own onsite bakery is a unique way to introduce hotel guests to Copenhagen’s eminent bakery culture. Rug hopes to become a gathering space for the local community, attracting baked-goods enthusiasts from the surrounding neighbourhoods with their flavourful bread and pastries.

COURTYARD BAR

Located under the big glass ceiling you will find our breathtaking Courtyard. Designed by Shamballa Jewels it hints both Nordic simplicity and international greatness. From our Courtyard Bar you can enjoy light meals, coffee and of course some of Copenhagens best drinks. No need for table bookings at Courtyard Bar - it is open for everyone.

In the days of the Central Post Office, postmen would gather at T37, surrounded by letters and packages. Today, T37 has evolved into a vibrant sharing bar. VILLA BREAKFAST

In the former sorting room of the ancient Post & Telegraph Office you will find our restaurant where our breakfast is served. Offering all homemade, local and seasonal food the breakfast buffet has a sustainable side to it and let you dine with a clean conscience. Here you can enjoy freshly baked bread and pastries from our own bakery Rug.

We are more than happy to welcome guests from the outside on all days of the week. All non-staying guests can use the main entrance of Villa.

The price for the buffet is:
For walk-in guests - 295 dkk
For in-house guests - 195 DKK
Kids up to 12- 95 DKK

This includes all food and drinks.

Chef and Concept

Villa Copenhagen’s sustainable food concept are presented to you by Kontrast Executive Chef, Per Voss Kjærgaard. With more than 23 years of experience from restaurants like Le Mas du Langoustier and Søllerød Kro, Per Kjærgaard is now personally involved with the designs of all food and beverage outlets at Villa Copenhagen. Additionally, he is working with developing our zero-food waste and carbon-free dining concept supported by the Nordic Hotels & Resorts’ commitment towards eco-sustainability. Therefore, all outlets use fresh ingredients obtained from local suppliers of sustainable produce.

Public breakfast restaurant and Rug Bakery

Situated inside the former sorting room of the Danish Central Post and Telegraph office, Public offers a wide variety of breakfast dishes including fresh bread and pastries that makes it one of the best places to have breakfast in Copenhagen. The pastries and fresh bread are made by Rug Bakery, which is Villa’s Copenhagen’s in-house bakery.

The spacious interior also makes the restaurant a great location to hold events and functions. The bakery can prepare buffet and a la carte meals for guests, as well as inside FIKA tote bags.

KONTRAST Brasserie

Whether you’re looking for dinner, lunch or even brunch in Copenhagen, KONTRAST’S contemporary and cosmopolitan dishes will complement you perfectly. The restaurant’s inviting décor features a blend of mid-century Danish design sensibilities and the trendy and hip vibe of Vesterbro which highlights the thriving cultural diversity of Copenhagen. The open kitchen adds a personal touch to the Scandinavian cuisine served at KONTRAST.
