In the former sorting room of the ancient Post & Telegraph Office you will find our breakfast restaurant Public. Offering all homemade, local and seasonal food Public's breakfast buffet has a sustainable side to it and let you dine with a clean conscience. In Public you can enjoy the freshly baked bread and pastries from our own Bakery RUG.

We are more than happy to welcome guests from the outside from Monday-Friday. All non-staying guests of Public can use the main entrance of Villa.

The price for the buffet is 245 dkk and includes all food and drinks.

RUG

Adjacent to Public you will find our own bakery RUG. Follow the process from flour to baked bread and pastries from the counter, and grab your favourite. As coming from the outside you can get the taste of RUG when you book a table in our breakfast restaurant in Public.

Chef and Concept

Villa Copenhagen’s F&B design and sustainable food concept owe much to Executive Chef Tore Gustafsson. The Swedish Chef was personally involved with the designs of all the villa’s F&B and beverage outlets, and helped formulate the zero-food waste and carbon-free dining concepts which supports Nordic Hotels & Resorts’, the hotel’s parent group, commitment towards eco-sustainability. Where possible, the outlets also use fresh ingredients obtained from local suppliers of sustainable produce.

Public breakfast restaurant and Rug Bakery

Situated inside the former sorting room of the Danish Central Post and Telegraph office, Public offers a wide variety of breakfast dishes including fresh bread and pastries that makes it one of the best places to have breakfast in Copenhagen. The pastries and fresh bread are made by Rug Bakery, which is Villa’s Copenhagen’s in-house bakery.

The spacious interior also makes the restaurant a great location to hold events and functions. The bakery can prepare buffet and a la carte meals for guests, as well as inside FIKA tote bags.

KONTRAST Brasserie

Whether you’re looking for dinner, lunch or even brunch in Copenhagen, KONTRAST’S contemporary and cosmopolitan dishes will complement you perfectly. The restaurant’s inviting décor features a blend of mid-century Danish design sensibilities and the trendy and hip vibe of Vesterbro which highlights the thriving cultural diversity of Copenhagen. The open kitchen adds a personal touch to the Scandinavian cuisine served at KONTRAST.
